"The life we always planned we were going to have"

"The life we always planned we were going to have"

Alice and Ken had been living in Wellington when a job opportunity in Manawatū made them research what their lives could look like here.

Alice, a doctor, says they were immediately drawn to the affordability of homes and what kind of home they could buy compared to the older, damp homes within their price range that they’d been looking at in Wellington. A warm, dry home was a must for them and their three young children.

“The opportunity to have a warm dry home with plenty of space indoors and out, to save money for trips we want to do, to spend more time involved in activities for pleasure rather than revolving around work/commute meant moving to Palmerston North was a no-brainer,” says Alice.

Watch the full story to find out what moving to Manawatū has meant for their family.
