Oranjehof is a museum with a difference. It’s got a quirky humour of its own. It’s cute and 'gezellig'. And it tells the story of the Dutch immigrants in Aotearoa, in delightfully colourful ways. You'll find it in Foxton, in Te Awahou Nieuwe Stroom.

The story of the Dutch in New Zealand touches on many aspects of Kiwi life. Even our country’s name wouldn't be the same without Abel Tasman's arrival, back in 1642. You can find that fascinating ‘touch of Dutch’ just about anywhere. Maybe you like your Vogel’s bread with a slice of Verkerks salami, or Gouda cheese?

Perhaps you’ve lived in one of those a smartly designed Lockwood homes, or once drank coffee at Suzy’s Lounge – the ‘Queen of the Coffee Houses’? Maybe you have some Dutch blood running in the family?
