The Ruahine White Water Club are a group of friendly, enthusiastic people from all walks of life who kayak rivers and sections of coastline in New Zealand’s lower North Island.

The Ruahine White Water Club run regular kayaking trips for both experienced kayakers and novices. They are also happy to teach novices the basics of kayaking and have affordable hire gear available for people who think they might want to give kayaking a go.

Club members are mainly based in Manawatū, mostly in Palmerston North and Ashhurst.

Regular club membership is $40 per year, family membership is $50, and for tertiary students or juniors (under the age of 18) it is $20. Visitors or people interested to find out more about kayaking are welcome along on their trips even if they have not joined the club.

White water kayaks (plus paddle, sprayskirt, paddle jacket, life jacket) are available for hire (when participating on club trips) at very affordable rates: $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
