Palmerston North works closely with the surrounding Local Authorities in the Manawatū-Whanganui catchment through the Regional Collaboration Forum, led by CEDA. Education and business are what we do here, and our extensive networks across sectors bring education providers, researchers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, local government and the wider community together. Our supportive business environment and extensive business infrastructure and networks attract both Central Government agencies and private sector organisations, such as Toyota New Zealand, New Zealand Pharmaceuticals, FMG, Norwood, FrogParking and DKSH choosing to base their corporate headquarters here. Many of the city’s initiatives and events are jointly delivered by key providers in the community, such as Massey University, UCOL, IPU New Zealand, Palmerston North City Council, CEDA, Manawatū District Council, ‘Student City’ programme, Palmerston North Airport - FlyPalmy, and our business community and networks. Working together we make the most of our small city benefits to achieve our big city ambitions
